In school last week we remembered all those who fought for our country but we also to time to think of anyone who has been affected by war -past and present.
We honoured them by:
- Wearing a poppy and learning about the significance of it to understand why people wear them at this time of year.
- Making our own art work to reflect on such harrowing times.
- We observed a two-minute silence on Thursday to honour and remember all soldiers at 11.00.
- Finally, we finished on Friday with our weekly poetry recital - performing different poems to remember our fallen heroes. Flanders Field was read out beautifully by all those in Miss Crozier’s class.
