The School Day
The school doors open at 8.45 a.m. unless the weather is poor, in which case the children are admitted. We ask that children do not arrive before 8.30 a.m. Pupils line up on the playground where they are greeted by their teachers and led into school. The main entrance doors should only be used by pupils who arrive at school after 8.50 a.m
With the exception of pupils in the Foundation Stage, we ask parents not to come into school with their children, but to leave them in the playground. There will of course be times when parents need to speak to the class teacher, but whenever possible such meetings are best kept to the end of the school day when staff have more time to discuss matters arising and less disruption is caused to the school day. Whenever possible, it is best to make an appointment to see the class teacher, so that the necessary time can be given.
School starts 8.45 a.m.
For security reasons the doors are locked at 9.00 a.m. If children arrive after this time then they need to enter by the main doors and be signed in by the office staff.
