Financial report for PE 2016-17
To encourage healthy lifestyle choices, children receive a minimum of 2 hours of school sport per week. All Key Stage One and Two classes timetable 2 lessons of PE per week, where the children follow the Real PE scheme of work. This scheme is inclusive and challenging and encourages children to take ownership of their learning. It focuses on three core principles of agility, balance and coordination while incorporating a healthy sense of competition and cooperative learning. More information on Real PE can be found on their website www.createdevelopment.co.uk/real-pe
The children at St. Brendan’s also have access both at school and at home to an exercise system called CyberCoach, where, come rain or shine, children can participate in an online virtual fitness class, tailored to their age group and abilities.
